The Gates - Central Park February 2005
For two weeks in February, New York was treated to "The Gates", an art installation of fantastic proportion by Christo and Jeanne-Claude. I was among the skeptical when I heard about it, wondering what could possibly add to the beauty of my beloved Central Park. Perhaps the most photographed art event ever, I set out to capture the Gates as welcome and compelling visitors - much like the millions of people who came from all over the world to see them.
